When the OMEGA Speedmaster first hit the watch scene in 1957, it wasn’t meant for the moon; it was meant for the race track. Obviously, if your watch is good enough to pass NASA tests and go to the moon, you lean into that heritage. Once in a while OMEGA likes to look back at the original intention of the Speedmaster and release a model that is meant for racing instead.
